| US drone at Benghazi |
A U.S. ambassador is missing and his diplomatic team is desperately fighting off terrorist attacks. Our commander-in-chief and his national-security team in Washington are listening to the phone calls from the Americans under attack and watching real-time video from a drone circling overhead. Yet the U.S. military sends no aid. Why?
The article talks about what possible
forces could have been used.
The author's conclusion will be repeated
many times in the coming days:
Secretary of State Clinton has said the responsibility was hers. But there has been no assertion that the State Department overruled the Pentagon out of concern about the sovereignty of Libyan air space. Instead, it appears passive groupthink prevailed, with the assumption being that a spontaneous mob would quickly run out of steam.

From Canada Free Press:
ReplyDeleteRetired CIA officer Gary Berntsen wasn’t buying that excuse. “You find a way to make this happen,” Berntsen contended. “There isn’t a plan for every single engagement. Sometimes you have to be able to make adjustments. They made zero adjustments in this. They stood and they watched and our people died.”
Any other administration, without the Lame Street Media in their pocket would have sunk without trace over this debacle. Just that the Ambassador repeatedly requested more protection and was turned down should be enough. And why were his requests turned down? Because it would spoil the 'narrative' of a successful mission and a peaceful Banghazi. The sooner obama and his Chicago crew are outta there, the better.
